REPS started with a simple idea: life is built one rep at a time.
When most people hear the word reps, they think about the gym: one more push-up, one more set, one more mile. But I’ve learned that some of the most important reps we do have nothing to do with weights. They’re the reps nobody sees—getting back up after life knocks you down, showing up when you don’t feel like showing up, taking another step when progress feels slow, learning to believe in yourself again, and eventually reaching back to help someone else do the same.
That’s what R.E.P.S. represents: Resilience. Empowerment. Progress. Service.
Resilience
Resilience is where it starts. Life is going to test you. Sometimes the test is something you expected. Other times, your entire life can change without warning. Resilience doesn’t mean you never struggle. It means you keep doing the reps necessary to move forward.
Sometimes the victory isn’t making a giant comeback. Sometimes the victory is simply saying, “I’m going to try again tomorrow.” That’s another rep.
Empowerment
Eventually, resilience begins to change the way you see yourself. You stop seeing yourself only through what happened to you and start recognizing what you’re capable of becoming. That’s empowerment.
It’s realizing: I still have something to offer. My story still matters. My life still has purpose. And once you begin believing that again, everything changes.
Progress
I’m a big believer in progress over perfection. You don’t have to transform your entire life today. You just need another rep: one workout, one conversation, one better decision, one step toward the person you’re trying to become.
Those small reps don’t always look impressive in the moment, but stack enough of them together and eventually you look back and realize you’ve traveled a long way.
Service
But there’s another part of this journey that I believe matters even more: What do you do with everything you’ve learned?
For me, the answer is service. Your struggle can become somebody else’s blueprint. Your recovery can become somebody else’s evidence that recovery is possible. Your story can give someone hope when they’re standing where you once stood.
That’s why Service completes R.E.P.S. Resilience gets you through. Empowerment gives you your voice. Progress measures the steps. Service is reaching back to pull the next person forward.
Why I Created REPS Wear
That’s the purpose behind REPS Wear. Yes, we’re going to make great apparel. But I don’t want someone wearing REPS simply because the shirt looks good. I want people to wear it because it means something to them.
Maybe you’re rebuilding after an injury. Maybe you’re recovering from trauma. Maybe you’re fighting to get healthier. Maybe you’re building a business. Maybe you’re trying to become a better parent, partner, leader, or person. Your reps may look completely different from mine, but we’re all working on something.
REPS Wear is for the person who understands that becoming stronger doesn’t happen all at once. You earn it one rep at a time.
And eventually, those reps aren’t just about making yourself stronger. They’re about becoming strong enough to help somebody else. That’s when this becomes bigger than clothing. That’s when it becomes a community. That’s when it becomes a movement.
So wherever you are in your journey, I have one question for you: Are you getting your REPS in?
Resilience. Empowerment. Progress. Service.
One more REP. One more step. Keep moving forward.
